1. ENGAGE
Curiosity | Collaboration | Chemistry
Our initial visit is meant to give us a sense of your priorities, desired land use, and personal aesthetic. We cover the property’s history, exposure, drainage, borrowed landscapes, topographic considerations, and more.
We’ll discuss general cost consideration, ways to get more for less, conduct a feasibility review, and look into innovative ways to achieve your goals and then some.
We’ll explore the passive influences in your life; travel, relationships, hobbies, past experiences, and architectural influences. We’ll watch for the nuances, communication style/s; we’ll take note and and incorporate them into our working relationship. This is where the spark begins.
2. Design
As a process-driven collective, we move your vision through preliminary sketches and mood boards, 3D renderings & masterplans and build details through exceptional working drawing packages informed by our trades and technical partners.
Lead by Danée’s 20 year tenure in outdoor living space builds, Eden’s design associates weave together the structural elements, planting composition and natural & hardscape materials to meet the desired vision. The goal is to capture and conceptualize your ideas into an established set of design mock-ups, ready for pricing and production.
3. Curate
Here we determine the scope of work required to execute the design. We source our best construction partners, craftsmen and materials for your project within your budget. Together, we build the budget, logistical timelines, plan for permits, and get clear on deliverables and variables.
Extensive research is done to consider final colours, configurations and materials. We investigate topographic details, introduce ourselves to your neighbours, and assess available utilities. The complete lifecycle of the project is charted to avoid site congestion, clear access, ensure safety and plan for potential pivots.
4. CONSTRUCT
With 20+ years under our belts designing and facilitating landscapes, we’ve come to recognize that the best build executions are those lead with Danée at the helm. Supported in trust by our construction partners is what makes working with us a bespoke experience. You can feel the camaraderie and BUZZ on site, tethered by a common goal and pride for each project.
Acting as either Primary Contractor or supporting your build as a consultant during the build and leading the planting and styling. Carrying a design through construction allows us to advocate on your behalf for quality, ingenuity, efficiency and accountability. Our methods are agile; pivoting in the face of each challenge to find solutions that become opportunities.
5. Cultivate
Styling, it’s in the details! In collaboration with local talent and some of the best horticulture sources across BC, and brokering only the most fitting accoutrements for your space, the cultivation of your vision is in the greatest of hands with our team. Eden oversees all finishing touches from the install of plant material to final fixtures. Our Styling team curate everything from the house exterior, garden beds, furniture, lighting, heat, pavilions and spa spaces.
We’ll apply a thoughtful approach to this stage with attention paid to every detail: finessing each component, plant position and experience with every minute or the day and every possible event held in mind. Returning for a 6 month check in, and if history repeats, by invitation year after year.
